Sarah trained at the Central School of Arts and Crafts before going on to The Slade in London. She was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, a Royal West of England Academician and an Honorary Member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and while being a member of the Society of Wood Engravers, she was also Chairman between 1995 – 1998.
